Venue Hire

The Main Hall

Chapel Arts Centre Main Auditorium and the Green Room are both available for hire. The Main Auditorium rents for a basic fee of £30 per hour (including sound & lighting equipment), though it may be more in times of high demand, less in times of lower demand. If you wish to use the sound & lighting equipment you will need to hire our technicians normally £65 (sound) & £72 (lighting) – more if the requirements are very complex. The main auditorium at Chapel Arts Centre is noted for its brilliant natural acoustics. We also have a Yamaha G1 grand piano, which is included in the hire, although if you require a piano tuner, that is an additional £30.

For promoters, or anyone staging an evening event, assuming a normal set-up and get in of 5.30pm, and get out of 11.00pm the hire fee payable to Chapel Arts Centre for use of the Main Auditorium would be approximately £165. There would be an additional “at cost charge” if you required us to provide aproved free-lance sound and light technicians at £65 & £72 respectively. We will also provide a web listing on this website (www.chapelarts.org) and will sell tickets for your gig at no extra charge. Additionally, for a nominal fee of £25 we will include you in all our press adverts – as well as distributing your posters to our poster site list and listing your event on our Facebook page and sending our e-news weekly to all our subscribers.

Chapel External

In addition we produce a 6 page DL flyer three times a year (currently 12,000 print run) for insertion in various local media for surrounding areas of Bath and in various local outlets. If you wish to be included in this flyer, we will require a contribution of £25 flat rate.

Any independent promotions must adhere to the standards and limitations of Chapel Arts Centre.

We also have a small meeting room (Green room) suitable for 12 people that can be hired for £7.50 per hour whilst the Centre is manned.

Chapel Arts Centre is a community arts centre (as mandated in our lease and memorandum & articles of association) and as such seeks to support and engage with the community where appropriate. We have special rates for community groups, charities, educational organisations and anything of a direct community support nature. We also provide the auditorium space free of charge for charity fundraising events on certain nights, depending on our current community remit criteria. Wedding Ceremonies/Buffets or Meals/Evening Receptions

Prices shown above are progressive and incremental. Seating can be laid out to your requirements, as seating in rows, or cabaret style for a more informal approach. We can provide sound and lights for evening bands or floor shows. We can also provide entertainment of live musicians subject to availability and price.

A video of your show

If you own the copyright to your material and you’d like a video of your show at the Chapel Arts Centre, we can provide one through local producer HighLight Media. Prices start at £100 for single-camera HD footage of 2 songs. Video examples of Geno Washington, Joanna Chapman-Smith (x2) and a Flamenco evening are shown below.
